About Nick

Nick Iannitti is the Director of Digital Marketing at Ottawa Tourism, and an avid follower of new media trends. During his career, he has developed and implemented online and mobile strategies for a number of international brands, including Microsoft, Vans, ABC Family and Ubisoft. An active member of the digital community, he has written and researched extensively on the subject of social media, gaming and digital marketing, and the role of brands, agencies and creative studios in the changing media landscape.

In his current role at Ottawa Tourism, Nick has created a highly successful social media and video content strategy for the destination; helping to conceive widely spread video pieces such as ‘The Canada Song’ and ‘The Digital Christmas Song’, which were featured on sites such as Forbes and Mashable.  He continues to work to help pull Ottawa away from its stuffy reputation

Nick has spoken at PCMA in San Diego on the topic of mobile strategy, Canada e-Connect in Toronto, CMA’s Digital Marketing and nextMEDIA conferences, and Ottawa’s Television Animation Conference on the subject of Branded Entertainment, and has recently participated as a judge in the 2011 Canadian Tourism Awards, and the 2010 Creativity International Awards. Nick holds a degree in Mass Communications from Carleton University.
